This is a superb kit. Doesn’t get any flatter, or easier to use. The absolute best film available. The diamond film is not floppy like typical paper. It’s as if it’s on a layer of plastic. Makes it much easier to place on and replace from the glass. Sticks firm, but removes cleanly. They have this figured out. Highly recommend.

Now I want y’all to make a case to carry them in please?

Exactly what I wanted for my glass slabs. Gets all of my carving tools wicked sharp. Even attached to dowels for my hook knives. Will be buying more of it shortly.

This is definitely needed for your sharpening system. I use it to sharpen my plane irons and chisels. The float glass is a must have. The quality is amazing. The float glass slipped out of my hand and fell but it didn’t chip or crack. You definitely won’t regret buying this!!!

I purchased this setup to use in place of a stone to hone my straight razor. Being that the kit uses a 3x9 plate glass as a surface to apply the film I know that it will always stay 100% true surface. I will never need to use a costly lapping plate for a guaranteed flat surface. The plate is also wide enough that I'm able to make straight passes. I can honestly say I was very happy with the design and simplicity of the product it's definitely a quality tool to have. This is my first purchase from this company but I guarantee more will come. I wanted to add more films to my order and used the "chat with us" function on the website and the representative I spoke with was knowledgeable and helpful.
After using the 8k, 14k and 60k films and finishing with a leather strop (I added the 60k film to my order and I was most likely overkill) my razor was beyond sharp. Far better that the day I purchased it.

It works better than expected. I've used many stones over the years and this just simply works and is cost effective. Also speedy delivery and customer service is great!

These sheets of diamond film work great! They stick well and remove easily when being replaced. They seem to have a long life and even when I gouge them with a tip they still hold together well! I use them for honing the inside ride line for beauty salon scissors that I sharpen every day for my clients.

I tried to get a similar glass rom a local glass suplier...they don't stock the 5/16th thickness. The plates were very well protected/wrapped for shipment. I woul definitely order again if I ever have the need.

Probably the best sharpening system that I've used that yielded the results I was looking for, without the learning curve. I've used wet stones, oil stones and powered sharpeners with "just okay" results on my chisels. The Scary Sharp System has made the process less daunting with the amount of space each sheet gives you to work with. And with the glass as a backer and the adhesive on each sheet, everything stays flat and secure resulting in a very sharp chisel. I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a no-fuss method of sharpening with excellent results.

the glass is well packaged as part of the scary basic package. I went to our local glass supplier, they do not carry the 5/16th thickness glass. I like the thickness of the 5/16th glass very much compared to thinner glass I have used in the past.

There are better guides but not for this price. This one works very well especially for the price. Much much better than the self-centering guides.

Great guide. Easy to use. The clamp with brass screws hold blades very secure.

This kit worked awesome for sharpening my chisels. I wish I had purchased an extra glass plate.

Works well on plane irons but the thickness on my chisels doesn't fit the angle guide well. Also, it would be nice if there was a guide to determine the angle of the blade.

Seems to be a good clean product. No grits mixed together. Very pleased.
